Fireworks Cruise
Kewalo Harbor’s Friday Night Fireworks Cruise was a great time! For the record, this picture was not one of mine - my pix showed quite a smaller display, but the cruise of the Waikiki coastline and the fireworks were a great way to start my first day in Waikiki. I was exhausted but did my best to stay up until a decent time to go to sleep. My pal Lisa warned me, “you have to make it until bedtime or you will never catch up with the 6 hour time difference!” What a great way to stay up! (I must remember to turn cell phone off when I go to sleep so I don’t get those 8:00 am phone calls that translate to 2:00 am in Hawaii.)
Aloha Boats Hawaii
Ubered to the fireworks - of course had a hard time figuring out which line I needed to be in for my boat - but everyone was chill. Very low stress here. I like it.
Aiden, the captain, says promote my other boat too!! Ok, this is the glass bottom boat that I didn't go on but Aiden says is great!
I was told by an employee of a different boat whom I chatted up on the beach that you have to climb up to the top for the best view of the fireworks, he was right!!! It takes a bit of bravery to be the first one up, especially since I was like the last one on after I got into the right line, but no one was there, they watched me with curiosity and there I sat before the guys came behind me and then a few truly wonderful couples came up and said, "Thanks for showing us this," as we all enjoyed the best views of Waikiki and the fireworks together!
She's a tik tok exec (I need to catch up to doing Tik Tok) and her bf was great - dancing on the top with reckless abandon - it was there last night and earlier in the day they did the skydiving which they loved. Damn, I didn't plan skydiving. Yet.
New friends! Oahu locals - a pediatrician and an electrician enjoying a night out!
Aiden and Caleb were great - I stubbed my toe coming up from the jon and they were quick with a cup of crushed ice which amazingly stopped the sting. And, they did a great job with music, energy, and fun! Got to love people who take their job of entertaining as seriously as these guys did!
The moon over the boat after disembarking.
